The Tasks section on the User Dashboard allows you to assign tasks to yourself, a specific user, or a user role. This functionality helps support personal accountability, role-based workflows, and team collaboration within the Kipu Compliance system.
Create a New Task
To create a task:
- Click the Create Task button.
- At the top of the pop up window, specify if this task will be assigned to an individual User, or a Role.
- At the top of the pop up window, specify if this task will be assigned to an individual User, or a Role.
Note: If you select a user role, any user with that role assigned to their profile can complete the task.
- Enter a clear, concise name in the Name of Task field.
- If the task is recurring, click the Repeat Task checkbox to enable recurrence settings.
- After selecting Repeat Task, set the recurrence frequency and end date.

- Use the Description field to add any additional information necessary to complete the task.
- If the task needs to be completed by a specific date/time frame set an expiration date (due date) for the task using the calendar pop-up.
- To assign a task to a specific user, click on the Assign to User field and choose them from the drop-down.
- If multiple users are selected, and all of them need to complete the task individually, toggle the checkbox for Require each user to complete the task individually.

- If the task requires a specific form, click the Related Form drop-down and select the form.
- Once all details for this task have been specified, click on the Save button.
Review the Task
Once the task is completed, view the task on the Dashboard under the Tasks section.
Note: If the task is assigned to someone else, switch to the For Others tab to view it.
