Using QR Codes to Share Forms

  • Updated

You can use the QR Code feature to allow staff or patients to scan a code with their device and access a blank form. QR codes are location-specific and can be created for any document in the system.

Important: Only users with the proper permissions can complete forms accessed via QR code unless the form is set to allow anonymous submissions.

Start by searching for the form you want to share, or by creating a new one.

  1. Click the Search icon in the top right corner.
  2. Search for the name of the form or document that will be shared in the pop up.
  3. After using the Find feature to locate the form, Click the Add New button in the top right corner.
  4. Once the form opens, right-click anywhere on the form page. Select Create QR Code for this page from the options.

Note: QR codes are tied to the specific page location. Be sure you're on the correct page before generating.

  1. After generating the QR code:
    • Choose to Copy or Download the QR code.
    • Share the QR code with staff or patients, who can scan it to open the form on their device.

Monitor Submitted Forms

Submitted forms can be tracked directly in the system:

  1. Return to the Search Results screen for the appropriate form type (e.g., incident reports).
  2. Click the View Charts button to monitor completed submissions.

Tip: Use the chart view to ensure all required documentation is submitted and review form completion metrics.
