Issue
I would like to set up a QR code for easy access of incidents, surveys, etc., how do I set that up? Or I want to set up a QR code for a form that my staff needs to fill frequently, how do I do that?
Environment
Kipu Compliance, Roles: All
Resolution
Any user that has access to the form can create a QR code to the form. Keep in mind that only enabled users can access the form unless it's set up as an anonymous form.
Important:
QR codes are Location Specific and can not be used with the Safari browser.
- Locate the form that needs a QR code. Either search from the Find in Kipu Compliance search or if you know where it's set up under the Forms tab and open it.
- Within the List View/Form Library View page select the Add New button.
- On the page for the form, right-click with your mouse anywhere on the form and select Create QR Code from the options.
-
Once the QR code is generated, either copy & paste the link for sharing via email or download & print the QR code for physical copies that you can set up around the facility.
Note:
You can track completed forms within the View Charts button next to the Add New button on the List View/Form Library View page.
Cause
The QR code feature allows staff or clients to scan a code using their device to access and complete a blank form. QR codes are location-specific and can be generated for any Kipu Compliance document. However, only enabled users can complete forms via QR codes unless the form is set up for anonymous submissions.
