Issue
I requested a custom training and need to provide an Embed link but don't know how.
Environment
Kipu Compliance, External Training: PowerPoint, Word Document, YouTube Video; Permissions: leadership or C-Suite
Resolution
Any leadership or C-Suite user can submit this request to our Kipu Compliance Support team. When you want to share a presentation or a training, save it to OneDrive first, then it can be embed it in a web page.
Please Note:
Custom trainings will only work with a company domain and all employees will need their own login to the company domain (personal emails will not work). Example: If all leadership is using Microsoft and create the training from a Microsoft drive nobody but that person will be able to access it from a personal Gmail.
Select the method below that your document is saved as:
- These steps are found within the Microsoft website, here.
- Save your presentation to OneDrive.com. (Storing the presentation to a public folder online is what allows you to embed it on a web page.)
- Open your presentation in PowerPoint for the web. Click on the File tab, select Share, and then choose Embed this Presentation.
- In the Embed dialog box, select the Copy button, and then Close.
- Open your ticket with Kipu Compliance Support and Paste the code into your reply and send.

- With the document open for editing in Microsoft Word for the web. Click on the File tab, select Share, and then click Embed this document.
- In the Embed dialog box, select the Copy button, and then Close.
- Open your ticket with Kipu Compliance Support and Paste the code into your reply and send.

- On a computer (not a smart device), go to the YouTube video you want to embed.
- Click SHARE

- From the list of Share options, click Embed.
- From the box that appears, copy the HTML code.
- Open your ticket with Kipu Compliance Support and Paste the code into your reply and send.
Important:
You can only embed a PowerPoint/Word Document from the online version of those software’s. If you attempt to embed from the app versions, it will not allow you to.

Additional Information to Provide
- What will this training be called in the system?
- What location(s) should this training be in?
- Will this be a required or optional training?
- Who is this training for, direct care or all staff?
- What should the certificate reflect as the duration of the training? (This is needed for PowerPoints and Word Documents, since it doesn’t have a duration already.)
- How often should this training expire? This is a required field.
- Will there be a Quiz?
- Send a separate document with the quiz questions and answers. Quizzes are multiple choice only.
- What will be a Passing Score for the quiz?
